Born in 1964 in Samsun. Completed secondary and high school education in 1982 at TED Ankara College, studied Mechanical Engineering in 1986 at Vienne Technical University and then graduated from Industrial Engineering of METU in 1990.

• 1997 – 2000 ABB BARMEK : Member of Board of Directors and Director General,
• 2000 – 2003 Barmek İnşaat : Member of Board of Directors,
• 2003 - 2004 Barmek Azerbaycan Director of Board of Directors,
• 2004 – 2005 Emek Elektrik Member of Board of Directors and Sales and Marketing Director
• In position of Director of Board of Members and Director General of Emek Elektrik since 2005.

Also taking part actively in Non-Governmental Organizations in the sector, in addition to being member of Assembly of Ankara Chamber of Industry, Chairman of Energy Committee and member of Commission of Electric Professionals, Mr. Zafer Arabul is also Director of Board of Directors of Union of Electric and Electronics Exporters (İMMİB) and TİM Delegate, Secretary Member of Board of Directors of Association of Electromechanics Industrialists (EMSAD) and Member of Executive Board of Association of European Transmission and Distribution Producers having its headquarters in Brussel.

Mr. ARABUL is at present Chairman of Board of Directors and Director General at Emek Elektrik and he is also Chairmen of Boards of Directors of Özar Elektrik Mühendislik Eğitim Yatırım İmalat ve Ticaret A.Ş. and Emek Araştırma Geliştirme Danışmanlık Sanayi ve Tic. A.Ş.
